Here is a breakdown of Hyundai’s current car chassis types and names based on 2025-2026 data:

1. Dedicated Electric Vehicle Platforms 

E-GMP (Electric-Global Modular Platform): A dedicated, flat-floor EV platform supporting rear-wheel or all-wheel drive, featuring high-speed charging and long range. It is used for the Ioniq sub-brand.

Models: Ioniq 5, Ioniq 6, Ioniq 5 N, Kona Electric (SX2 EV).

ME Platform: A new, larger electric platform optimized for three-row electric SUVs.

Models: Ioniq 9 (2025/2026).

E-GMP.S (PBV Platform): A specialized variant of E-GMP designed for Purpose Built Vehicles (PBV) and electric commercial, autonomous, or ride-sharing models.

AX1 EV (Inster/Casper EV): Based on the small A-segment platform, modified for electric power. 

2. Third-Generation Platform (N-Platform Series)

Introduced around 2019, this is Hyundai's standard platform for modern internal combustion (ICE), hybrid, and plug-in hybrid models. It features lower weight, higher rigidity, and better safety via a multi-load path structure. 

N3 Platform: Used for D-segment (mid-size) and larger vehicles.
